Four Locations That Need Fences The Most

Most homeowners know that fences are great for marketing property lines and getting some privacy from passersby and neighbors. They help thwart potential thieves, keep you and your family safe, and also help with the aesthetics of our home.

But there are probably a few places you didn't realize you can also add fencing to further protect property and people. We've put together a list of four locations around your house that need fences the most.

Swimming Pool Area

Whether it's above ground or in-ground pool, both are great locations for having a fence around them. For one, it gives you and your family a bit of privacy while you're taking a dip or lounging around it. If you have smaller children, then it's extra important to have a fence around the pool.

It also protects other children in the neighborhood. All it takes is one second for one unsupervised kid to find themselves near the pool. A fence can give you and other parents peace of mind.

Another benefit of fencing in your pool is to keep wildlife from drinking, swimming, and bathing in the water. It's dangerous from them and can cause damage if something gets caught in the pumps or damages your pool lining.

Your Dog's Outside Play Area

If you have a dog or two (or 10), then a fenced-in area outside is perfect for them. It gives them a safe place to run around and play, and you have peace of mind knowing exactly where they are.

You can also quarter off a piece of your property for them to do their business. That way, you and the rest of the family can enjoy your yard without risking stepping in dog droppings.

A Fence is Great for Gardens

Gardens can be therapeutic and also provide fresh, healthy food for you. However, it's also a food source for wildlife like rabbits and deer. Nothing's worse than coming outside to find all your hard work destroyed.

Installing a fence around your garden can save you from that headache and protect your flowers, herbs, and vegetables. And it also saves the animals because some plants can be poisonous or harmful to them.

Your Children's Outside Play Place

If you have an at-home playground or tons of toys made for the outdoors, then you can also section off a part of the yard, especially for the children. It helps you by keeping all of their things contained (mostly) in one area. And you also don't have to worry about them wandering off into other places they shouldn't be playing.
